If you’re trying to sell your house right now and you’re disappointed with the lack of showings from potential buyers (you might be thinking "it's a sellers market, right? So why don't have I have 700 buyers rushing through offering me their first born child for my home?!)… don’t be disheartened. Maybe a little humor might help:
The reason you shouldn't be disheartened is because the hot weather only really stops the ‘lookie-loos’. It stops those nosy neighbors, those who aren't even pre-approved, or just like peeking round other folks' homes when they don't have weekend plans.
When it's 90° out and the humidity is 60+%, only serious buyers are out touring open houses and going on home tours. As in those who are ready to put in an offer yesterday. They're pre-approved, their real estate agent is ready to go, and they know what they want. So if you only have 4 showings (when in earlier spring market you might’ve gotten 54) it shouldn’t stop a great offer coming in if:
- and, most importantly, your house is priced right
