Our clients, Grayson and Veronica, netted themselves $50k over-list price on their exquisite Mount Laurel Colonial—and gained over nearly $250k in equity in the 3 years they owned this home! Read their story below, and keep scrolling to find out how The JFKLiving Team made this happen.
Meet Pip Haxby-Thompson’s first ever real estate client! Grayson hired Pip back in 2018 in search of a place to rent. After some deliberation, Grayson decided to save his money by moving in with his folks, with a goal to save up a down payment and clear some debts (smart choices). Fast forward a couple of years and Grayson reached back out; he and his partner Veronica were looking to buy a house. With a healthy down payment saved up, they had a certain location in mind around Flemington and Titusville, but unfortunately were outbid on several properties.
It was time to rethink. Pip talked Grayson and Veronica through their options in a sellers market, and they agreed to expand their location search, eventually finding 2 Chalmers Ct, Mount Laurel. It had a pool, it was secluded, it overlooked the woods… it was just what they wanted. Through their first years as homeowners, Grayson and Veronica set about updating their new home. They built a grand pavilion outside, and added a new gunnite lining and travertine coping to the (now gorgeous) saltwater pool. New floors, new wood burning stove, painting throughout, they truly made it home.
But their story doesn’t end there. In 2024 they had the opportunity to move near Charleston SC—a big cross-country move that would involve them selling their first home, and naturally Pip was their first call. With all of their upgrades and comparing to recent home sales in the area, Pip helped them come to a listing price of $650,000. What followed was a Mega Open House event, door hangings + mailings, a multi-video social media campaign, and a Zillow Showcase Listing. Through all these marketing efforts, Pip amassed 20,000+ Views across all platforms, and hundreds of Saves on Zillow, and ultimately Grayson and Veronica ended up with 7 offers on their home—all bar one being above asking price.
With so many offers in hand, Pip was able to negotiate with several of the buyers, finally landing on a $700,000 all-cash offer with no inspections—amazing! That’s a $247k increase from their original purchase! Now Grayson and Veronica are on their way to their new South Carolina home, and we’re thrilled for this wonderful couple.
